Casino War Rules

"War" was originally a children's game which later became popular in the casinos. There isn't much strategy involved in casino war - simply the ability to recognize which of two cards has a higher face value. Below we've outlined Golden Casino's Casino War game rules. The game begins with the player placing a wager. Once game play begins, one card each is dealt to the player and the dealer. If the value of the player's card is higher than the dealer's, then the player wins an amount equal to the amount wagered. If the value of the dealer's card is higher than the player’s, the player loses his or her bet. One hand can be played at a time.

Where the value of the player's card and the dealer's card is the same, the player can either "Fold" or choose to "Go to war".

Where the player Folds, only half of the original bet is returned back to the player.

If the player elects to "Go to war", an amount equal to the original wager is added to the bet and both the dealer and the player receive three cards face down, these are known as "burn cards" and will remain face down. Following the burn cards, both the player and the dealer are dealt a final card (face up).

After Going to War, there are three possible outcomes:
1). If player has the face up card with the highest value, player wins. In this case, Player will win on the Raise amount only, and the original wager amount will Push.
2). If player’s face up card is of lower value than the dealer’s, the player loses his or her bet.
3). If player and the dealer have the same card value, then the player wins on his original bet, and pushes on the amount bet on the second tie.
